Alice in Wonderland Poster
Hanging an Alice in Wonderland poster on your wall will serve multiple purposes. It will pay homage to one of the most popular fairytales of all times, it will decorate the room in which it gets hung with funny, colorful and magical characters and it will be a perfect match to anyone of the many Alice in Wonderland costumes — Alice, the Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, the White Rabbit, the March Hare, the Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum twins, the Caterpillar and others.
Alice in Wonderland posters come in a wide variety of styles and sizes as they depict countless scenes from the Alice in Wonderland 2010 feature film which was directed by the acclaimed Tim Burton. Alice in Wonderland posters are also available as replicas of the black and white sketches which come straight from the original Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland written by Lewis Carroll and published in 1865. And, of course, you can easily find Alice in Wonderland posters portraying glimpses of Alice in Wonderland as seen in so many of this magical tale’s other versions.
My favorite Alice in Wonderland poster just happens to be the triptych version available at Amazon.com. (ASIN: B0037M36XG)
Measuring 22 inches by 34 inches, this is a three poster image set that displays Alice and the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter running through the forest of giant mushrooms and Alice with the Queen of Hearts who is obviously decreeing someone’s head to be lopped off.
But what exactly is a poster?
A poster is a sheet of paper which contains graphical and/or textual designs and is intended for posting on any vertical surface such as a bulletin board, a wall, etc. Its intent is to prominently catch the eye of passers buy in order to convey a message of some kind or even a mood.
Throughout their existence, posters have been used for advertising events such as films, concerts, bazaars, lectures, etc. However, they have also been utilized as a means to convey political, social, educational and theological messages such as those issued by propagandists, politicians, protectors, church leaders, educators and government agencies. Due to the relatively low cost of production, posters have also been used to replicate priceless artwork.
In recent years, posters have become collector items and thus many of them have become big ticket items which are traded at exorbitant prices.
