Having first made his debut at the Mad Tea Party at the March Hare’s house which was described in Lewis Carroll’s fairytale called “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” the Mad Hatter or simply the Hatter is an eccentric fictional character whom Alice encounters on her adventures in Wonderland. In his sequel tale, “Through the Looking Glass,” Carroll amended or revised Hatter’s name to Hatta.

But why is the Mad Hatter having tea at the March Hare’s house? Because the Queen of Hearts ordered their heads cut off for “murdering time.” The two escaped decapitation but are now stuck at a perpetual 6:00 pm and 6:00 pm is the perfect time for drinking tea.
